Sree Karamukku Bhagavathy temple is an ancient Hindu temple that is considered one of the 108 Durga temples. The temple is situated in the Thrissur district of Kerala. It is believed that the temple was established by the sage Parashu Rama.
The primary deity of Karamukku Bhagavathy temple is goddess Sree Durga, also known as karthyayani and the idol is made of sila. Along with the goddess Bhagavathy, lord Vishnu, lord Shiva, lord Ganapati, and Nandi are also worshipped in the Karamukku temple.
The temple is located in between the paddy fields and a large pond called karamukku pond. The temple has its unique rituals and festivals.
Pushpanjali, Paal - Payasam and Sharkara - Payasam are the main vazhi padu in this temple.
